LONGBLOCK is basically a SHORTBLOCK + oil sump (oil pan) + cylinder head/heads with valves, for some engine types the cylinder head is also complete with the camshaft/camshafts and cylinder head cover, but it depends on the engine type.
A typical longblock consists of following parts (although it may differ from type to type, therefore we always suggest to ask):
- Crankcase
- Oil spray nozzle
- Cylinder liner
- Front end cover
- Oil pressure valve
- Crankshaft, crankshaft timing gear, crankshaft bearing
- Piston assembly with conrods
- Cylinder head
- Camshaft, drive gear for injection pump, drive gear for compressor
- Valve gear (assembly)
- Cylinder head cover
- Oil Pan
Our specialty is offering an "Economy Long Block", which is a diesel long block built in our workshop with a used crankcase, crankshaft, camshaft and cylinder head/heads (all checked and machined according to factory standards). All other components are brand new OE or OEM source.
Obviously, for those who wish we can supply all-new Longblocks as well and for certain engines types also complete engines (with all aggregates).

We remanufacture 300+ diesel engines yearly (mainly from trucks, busses, agriculture and earth moving machinery). Most common engine manufacturers are: Caterpillar, Cummins, DAF, Detroit Diesel, KHD Deutz, Iveco, John Deere, Komatsu, MAN, Mercedes, Perkins, RVI Renault, Scania, Volvo and Yanmar.
